Before I start talking about me, I want to let you know that it will take minutes to read my story. Please do not give up. I wrote it because I am afraid that I might forget my own one. My name is Adisorn Vitayakul. Everyone calls me Bert. I was born in Bangkok, but earlier during my childhood, I grew up with my mom in Hong Kong and my dad in West Virginia and New York. I then chose myself to live permanently in Bangkok. It took me awhile to get to where I am. My life revolves around music and books but I never judge people by its cover. Finally, I already met my girl, Mod Worarat. She and I have a smart 3-years-old boy, BJ Albert.
Generally speaking, I am 5’10” tall and weigh 150 lbs. Having a sense of humor, I am easy-going, creative, and very appreciative in life. I am always trying to understand how things work and am curious and intrigued by everything around me.
Being kind, considerate, friendly, loving, and genuine, I have a good heart and am a good friend to be loyal to those who treat me with respect and kindness. I am a one-of-a-kind person and it is not easy to come across someone as friendly and affable as I am.
I enjoy socializing, listening to classical music, reading financial textbooks, dining out sometimes with my family. I work out at the gym 2-3 days a week and really enjoy shooting photos of my wife and son. When we are on vacation, we usually go to beaches and visit beautiful mountains.
I am concurrently working as a finance director at Charles D. Trexler Consulting Co., Ltd. and cabin crew at THAI. I was a senior financial analyst at Paragon Capital Management Corp. in New York from 1998 to 2000.
I got married with Mod Worarat, MA in International Relations (Int'l Program), the Faculty of Political Science, Thammasat Univ. and BA in German, the Faculty of Arts, Chulalongkorn Univ. She finished her high school with the GPA of 4.00 at Triam Udom Suksa School and received the highest German level at Goethe Institute of Thailand. Due to her father now being a senator, Samutprakarn Province, she has been appointed to be a secretary to Committee on Tourism of the Senate. She concurrently works as an air hostess at Thai Airways International (Public) Co., Ltd. She and I have one son, Albert Vitayakul (BJ). BJ was born on Sunday, Jan 1, 2006 and baptized on August 1, 2006. He studies at KIS International School.
I earned Ph.D. in finance from Washington University, MS in finance from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, MBA in finance from West Virginia University, and BBA from Chulalongkorn University, and high school from Triam Udom Suksa School.
I won the gold medal in 7-player soccer competed among 70 teams at Triam Udom Suksa School. When I was a student at Chulalongkorn Univ, I was awarded one silver and one bronze medals in swimming, freshman sports days.
Being an intern in summer as a sales person in 1989 and a sales manager in 1990 at Chulalongkorn Dummy Company, I received the Best Seller Award from Thailand Management Association and Best Manager Awards from Chulalongkorn Univ Dummy Company and etc.
When I was in the United States, I won the first prize in financial simulation awarded by College of Business, Univ of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. I was elected to be the presidents of graduate class of 1998 and finance club at the Univ of Illinois.
